The students will be exposed to basic sewing concepts during the semester.  They will have their choice of making either a rag quilt, a traditional basic quilt, or a t-shirt quilt.  They will also be creating items such as potholders, laundry bags, purses, etc.   When they have completed their sewing project they have the option to learn to loom knit, traditional knitting or crocheting along with embroidery, crewel work, etc.  

The course will cover the basics of food safety, sanitation and preparation.  The student will demonstrate through labs various techniques with food preparation and techniques.
